Break the Silence

So this is my first “legit” run – I have been to different fun run but it was just for picture taking purposes (haha loser) like Color Manila Run, Milo fun run and not to mention those school fun run.

I have been planning since last year that I ahve to try this kind of run- serious run as what I call it. Heard about Break the Silence Global run(Run for a cause to stop deaf sexual abuse,it’s run for a cause and it also a big help to support this kind of organization) from our company and decided to join. I am not a runner but a frustrated one. haha Thanks to Mr. Andrew for the registration and I have been finally able to join what I have been planning to do. Dili ra drawing! hihi

Few more kembots and I am almost there. When you see people started which means, it’s very tiring.

Honestly, it was not an easy breezy run. I have been trying to  runlike every after my shift but I was not consistent at all.. Where can we buy consistency and discipline?

My preparation was not enough. I know! Charot kung maka prepare murag marathon ang apilan. hahaha

And the week prior to my run, I was not able to jog at all because  I was too busy.. but here I am, trying out to measure my endurance and perseverance. THANK GOD I DID NOT PASS OUT! HAHA Tried my very best to run all the way until I reached the finish line..

Meanwhile..

While running, here’s my view.. Started the run at 4:45AM.

All along I thought I was almost at the finish line but I was told that I have to reach the next bridge of SRP. “Akala ko malapit na ang umaga hahaha. Akala ko isang kembot nalang hindi pala. PAASA!”

But yes I did finish it at an hour and 25minutes.Isnt that great? Not bad at all for a first timer right?

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me indeed!!!

After a nose-flaring-kinsay-gasugo-nako-mudagan-not-easy-run, time for zumba to cool down.. wewww! 🙂 I enjoyed every bit of it.

Mt. Naupa

So here we go, finally I have a new blog to post.

“Climb every mountain. Search high and low.. ”

Off we go to Mt.Naupa —–

Summer is fast approaching and people are so into island hopping, swimming but we preferred to climb Mt. Naupa. (Sounds like we are heading to Mt.Pulag right? Haha.) This is not a bandwagon thing okay? But we love nature, there is something about it that we get the feeling of relief and satisfaction and a time to appreciate and be thankful of God’s creation. How could anyone not love it?!

Meet the Trekkers of Lighthouse Chrsitian Assembly. Chaaaroooot!! The Team Weirdos is on the go for adventure once again. They look familiar right? Because they are all over my blog posts and  I always love to travel with them. There is no way that I will be travelling with other squad (squad daw oh!HAHA)  (Insert Andrew who took the photo)

P_20170211_131057-01[2].jpeg

Meet the perfect looking, God’s creation – Mt.Naupa. This is located at Naga City Cebu, southern part of cebu to be exact. Who would have thought that is is just so near and very accessible. Naga is known, so you would not have a hard time reaching this place. If you are from the city, just go to South Bus terminal and ask to drop you off at Naga or you can just  ride from colon going to Bulacao, Pardo or Basak, then you can drop off anywhere, where you can ride a multicab going to Naga. Easy as that. No sweat. 🙂

Fare: 13.00 (it varies if asa mo gikan)

Once you arrived at Naga, ask the driver to drop you off at Cogon Chapel where adventure begins. Sorry if I don’t have pictures while riding the habal-habal, but I do have a video. Ill post it pretty soon.

Habal habal fare: 50.00 each

Trail will start at Cogon Chapel.. then the seat begins to fall.. hahahah

P_20170211_113622_BF_p-01[1].jpeg

This is the starting line and off we go to the mountains. By the way, I started vlogging and it wasn’t easy at all (i’m grasping for air) plus video editing takes a lot of time and I don’t have patience. Still working on it. hihihi..

Tadah! Thanks to my stalker who keeps taking pictures of me. (thanks to the boyf). This is certainly candid shot guys!

Ended the day at Naga Park for dinner.

Where to next?

Psalm 95:3-5

“For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.”

NO Internet and Signal

NO INTERNET AND NO SIGNAL.

FB_IMG_1484311343911[1].jpg

You read it right!

Yes, it happened in Cebu. It was for real. And it was no joke.

The day before this happened, I did not believe 100%. There was on the other side of my brain saying “grabe sad, wala juy signal and internet. Impossible”.

January 14th, I woke up, directly checked my phone. Hoping that it was not true, hoping that it was just a dream (char lang, oa ra)

Short horror story begins: No signal indeed.

screenshot_20170114-102921_11

But I was happy knowing that I still have an internet. I said to myself, see they can’t do that to us. So I tried chatting because on that day we will be having our Praise and Worship practice @ 10AM. But no one replied and my sister told me “walay internet basta data or free data sila”. Then and there I realized we have Wifi so I was able to use the internet. gaaaaah!

Moving on to the nightmare and horrific moment of my life. I went to church exactly 10am for our P and W practice but no one was there. Tried to compose myself because maybe they were just caught up by traffic. An hour passed by, still I have not seen even a shadow from my churchmates.

Sorry, but I don’t have enough patience when it comes to waiting. Asa na ang fruit of the Spirit?  But isn’t it ironic? I still waited.. It was for the practice and it was for the Lord.  🙂

Because there was no internet, I have no pocket wifi, there was no signal (I cant text nor call), how in the world I can reach them?

Processed with VSCO
While waiting, took a photo, tried video time lapse, tried everything in my phone incase I have not discover everything on it. hahahahahahahahaaaaaa! I never do that when I have signal and internet.

Finally, one of my churchmate arrived then waited for another hour.. and finally, ariel happened to us. The whole P And W team arrived exactly 12:00Pm. Imagine, how long I have waited.. Patience is a talent!

So we practiced and after we practiced, we ate our lunch  at Da Vinci’s. For the first time in forever,we were able to talk  to each other without even looking to our cellphones nor holding our gadgets. It was one for the book! It was definitely once in a lifetime I think? hahaha.. Sometimes, I have been caught up with the “internet generation”. I usually talk to other people while looking at my cp. I know I can manage it and I can multi task, I can hear you talking and I can still empathize but how can we talk heart to heart with the people in front of us without even looking into their eyes. I am guilty of that!

After eating lunch, I told the boys that I wanted to go to a coffeeshop but of course, boys  dont like it.It was rainy and they dont like just sitting around, drinking coffee. haha! Mind this, there was no internet and no signal.. what will we do? I thought that it was going to be a boring Saturday which it had never happened and it will never happened to us.  We always find ways to have fun!

Check this out!

These are the  things we were able to do during NO SIGNAL AND INTERNET. It was a good thing indeed. I never regret without having signal and internet. I enjoyed the day.

We were able to record a lot of videos. We were able to enjoy the moment. We were able to enjoy the day conversing. How awesome was that?

Have you even realized how we are so attached with the internet literally with our phones. We can live without anything except for our phones. I heard that a lot, even myself.  That it gets to a point we are so dead over it. That sometimes, we are okay to stay up late facebook-ing, instgram-ming, youtube-ing,posting photos but we have not stayed up late talking to our parents, friends or our loved ones, of how they are and what happened on their daily lives.

Today we are at a defining moment in the evolution and growth of the Internet. We cant deny the fact that using the internet is our way of communicating and reaching out to others. But the heart and soul of talking to people is already gone.

Havent you noticed?

How was your NO INTERNET AND NO SIGNAL experience? 🙂

FIRST OF JANUARY

So everyone has their New Year’s resolution, some may have their old resolutions not being done  or some may have a new one listed or some ma y have given up. But as for me, I no longer have resolutions but I do have #faithgoals for year 2017.

We all have plans, desires and dreams in life. But one thing is for sure it is the Lord who makes everything done beautifully in His time.

Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and he will establish your plans.Proverbs 16:3 | NIV

Let start the ball rollin’ on how my first week of 2017 looked like.

Before I started the year, I have so many requests from the Lord that I have  written down in my little notebook and of course on my wall which I always do every year. But now I take it religiously!Prayed it over and over and over again.

I have been praying to the Lord that what He had done miraculously last year will continue  this year and will grow more in quality and quantity.

He never failed me and He never will. He is a God who answers your desire, He is a God who fulfills His promise, He is a God that sees what you desire.

Definitely I started my 2017 with a BANG, if I say “bang” definitely it was boomin’ for the Lord —

“All this also comes from the Lord Almighty,
whose plan is wonderful,
whose wisdom is magnificent.Isaiah 28:29

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.Proverbs 19:21. And Yes it is His purpose that my start of the year will be productive and centered on HIS ministry. Which means, this year is going to be a year full of God’s ministries with perks on the side –  travel, eat out and so much more. Yeaaaah! 😉

I feel so blissful that I just wanted to cry for joy. He always surprises me and He will continue to do great and wonderful things this year. And yes this year is going to be A YEAR OF ANSWERED PRAYERS. I declare and I claim it in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

What is your passion?

“Passion is the fuel in the engine of your purpose” 🙂

By the way, we ended the week with Prayer and Worship during Lighthouse Youthjam and a Sunday service.

Ending the year with a bang!

Go where God has called you. Do what He wants you to do. . 🙂

mis·sion·ar·y–  noun – a person sent on a religious mission, especially one sent to promote Christianity in a foreign country. (GOOGLE)

John 15:16 ” You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last…. “

I prayed to God that before the year 2016 ends, there is something great that is going to happen. And yes, He answered and He never failed me.

Everytime I hear the word Missionary, it brings back good memories about my Sunday School teacher. Ate Julie Camangeg who became a Missionary at Thailand. And how she have dedicated her whole life in sharing the Gospel to other Nation. How is she by the way? hmmm..

And now I have met other Missionaries, just like her who are so dedicated in giving their time and life in spreading the Word of God.

Meet the YWAM Missionaries from Canada who has been with us from Sunday to Monday.

From back to front -Me, Ate Rizza, Caroline, Jonathan, Keiron, Ruel, Ate Nina, vanessa, Hannah, Marcy, Daniel, Calcy, Adrian, Kate, Kenton and Andrew (taking the picture) I’m not sure if I have spelled out their Name correctly.

It was such a great opportunity and a favor to be with these special people of God. I never see myself as a missionary but I admire them for the decision that they have made, to be sent to different places and share the gospel of GOD. It was a wonderful treat for all of us — Lighthouse Christian Assembly.

First thing in December 26th, Prayer Seminar was ongoing. YWAM led the praise and worship which overwhelms me of how the Lord blessed them with those amazing talents. I so love the flute! It feels like I was in a paradise while worshipping the Lord.

** If only I can post the praise and worship video but sad to say I haven’t updated my blog yet to premium. hihi **

What happened during the Prayer Seminar?

Daniel teaching about prayer. Though I wasn’t able to hear everything because we were so busy preparing for their lunch(Martha ang peg) but I know  God is working in each person who was listening at that time.

Praying for more souls, for 2017,for our desires and for the church. I did not miss this part. It was so important to pray and to be prayed . I just felt so excited praying for the year 2017. I just want to cry for joy of how the Lord prepared us for next year. THANK YOU LORD JESUS CHRIST! 🙂 You always amaze us.

Our visitors from Messiah Christian Assembly and with our very own Missionary, Kate-  I believe that it was not an accident that they were able to join us. I know that these people who has also have a big role in my life will be blessed by the Lord and will do great thing in their Spiritual life. I know the Lord will use them without fear in sharing the Word of God.

I know the enemy is now afraid seeing them entering into their purpose in life. The enemy has already been defeated and will always be defeated. I have prayed for these young people the whole day. They will become leaders and will have their own cellgroups next year. It is going to be easy because we have prayed for it. We have claimed and declared! We have a powerful God! We are serving a true living God!

Second part of the Prayer Seminar was held at Cebu House of Prayer. 4 hours of worship was definitely the best experience I had when it comes to worshipping. We were supposedly be having the teaching part about prayer but the Lord has impressed to the missionaries that we need to have more time in praising and worshipping the Lord. Gaaaaaaah! There’s no place I would rather be!

Lastly, of course, aside from praying for more souls to know Jesus, we have to walk the talk. So Evangelism is a must!

Open Air Evangelism @ All Season Pardo Cebu..  I wanted to narrate everything but because of how wonderful and amazing it was to be part of this, I couldn’t put it into words. All in all,I am grateful! Seeing those people, accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Savior was the greatest above all. God moves in mysterious ways.

Thank you Lord for this wonderful experience! I had a blast! My Monday was a different one, but all the more, it was a productive one.

And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” -Romans 10:15

Processed with VSCO with p5 preset

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
-Isaiah 52:7

Romans 10:13-14-
13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

Have you ever dream to be a missionary?
